What is yoga?
Yoga is an ancient philosophical self-knowledge system, which with physical and mental exercise leads to psychosomatic human evolution.
Training in yoga develops awareness and affects both the physical and the mental, spiritual and emotional side of the individual.
Patanjali codified yoga in 300 BC, described it as chitta-vrtt-nirohdah meaning "The cessation of the fluctuations of the mind", ie, suppression of fluctuations of consciousness.
Yoga is the method by which the restless mind becomes stable and the energy directed into more constructive channels through self-control and self-discipline.
A conscious breathing is yoga.
What does yoga means?
The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit root yuj meaning union.
Yoga is the union of the individual self with the "global self", i.e., the individual consciousness with the universal consciousness, with the whole.
Yoga requires discipline Higher Mind, mind, emotions and will.
What is prana?
Prana is the life force, the source of life and consciousness. It is the breath of life of all beings of the universe. They are born through it, live by it, and when they die their individual breath dissolves into the breath of the universe. It pervades all forms of matter, the existence and non-existence. It is the source of all knowledge. Prana is not breathing.
What is pranayama;
Pranayama is the control of bio-energy through breathing.
It is the conscious extension and stopping of breathing and ultimately the rhythmic control of this for the cultivation of life force within us, namely prana.
The techniques of pranayama are many. Together we will gradually get to know the most important. Remember, we should never push ourselves when practicing pranayama.
What is the asana;
Asana is the comfortable, stable, conscious, and aligned posture with a specific duration, rhythmic coordination of breathing and specified focal point of gaze (drishti).
The asana are tools for the exploration of the body and mind when deployed to control the body while growing and controlling the mind.
The target of asana is to train the body to be able to cope in meditation. They bring very significant results when combined with knowledge at every level of existence. The asana are not exercises.
Conscious breathing makes every asana a form of exploration. The essence of yoga is to breathe and not the asana. Never sacrifice the breathing for the asana.
There are many categories of asana:
Upright, balance, support hands, sitting, forward bends, side bends, inverted, torso bends trunk hyperextension, prostrate.
Most asana belong to multiple categories.
In what language is the terminology of asana;
The terminology of asana is in Sanskrit language, the ancient Indian language spoken until today in some parts of India. This name is internationally known for each asana.
What is included in a balanced yoga program?
For a harmonized yoga program select at least one asana of each category from the following: an upright asana, an equilibrium posture, a lateral stretching, a forward bending, a back bending, a rotational stop, an inverted posture and always end with relaxation for ten minutes.
What is the eight-fold path of yoga?

What is the real meaning of yoga?
When the senses are immobilized, when the mind is calm, when the Higher Mind is not moving to and fro then, says the wise, we have reached the highest state.
This constant control of the senses and mind has been defined as yoga.
It is the technique that makes a scattered and incoherent mind more thinking and consistent.
Yoga is the balance of the mind that allows you to see all aspects of life in sobriety.
When through the practice of yoga anxiety of mind is immobilized, the Higher Mind and the self, the yogi and yogini find completeness within themselves.
This is the real meaning of yoga. The release from pain and sorrow.
What is the purpose of yoga?
The purpose of yoga is to expand consciousness at first throughout the body and gradually throughout our existence.
It is a great philosophical self-improvement system whose main purpose is the acquisition of self-awareness.
